Meet tms’ 2024 Summer Interns!
For another year, tms welcomed 24 incredible interns as part of the Summer Internship Program in North America! Our intern program has fostered the minds of rising industry professionals for over 20 years, with this year’s program starting in June and wrapping up in August at our Chicago Headquarters. They have been placed across a wide range of departments in various roles based on their skillsets and areas of interest across marketing, sourcing, and technology functions.
Led by Jaime Sklar, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Karen Tom, Chief of Staff, the program provides interns with real-world professional experience and helps them bring their freshest, most innovative ideas to life. By interfacing with clients, attending educational workshops, and working cross-functionally, the interns learn not only what makes tms unique and how we operate, but how to build business relationships and conduct oneself in a professional setting.
When they’re not working with their respective teams, the interns are heads-down on their capstone project, a group effort where they compete against their fellow interns to create a next-gen loyalty program for McDonald’s. In August, the two capstone teams will pitch their concepts to the entire tms company – may the best idea win!
Interning at tms for the past two summers has been an amazing experience, and I continuously feel welcomed by all the people I have met. Jaime and Karen have provided the interns with great professional exposure and experiences through different client panels and department introductions. I have loved getting to know and work with my manager, Sydney Vander Veen, and I’m excited for the rest of the program!
