Employee spotlight: Noel Mercado

Noel Mercado

A Digital Content Supervisor at tms Chicago, Noel Mercado is also an artist and Vince Staples fan. Meet Noel below…

What are your pronouns?
He/Him/His

What type of work experiences did you have prior to joining tms?
One of my favorite jobs was at my college wood shop. I learned a lot of skills there that I still use today. Once I graduated, I jumped right into graphic design professionally, and then as my experience progressed, I decided to go into a production artist role.

What’s in your headphones currently?
Vince Staples – RAMONA PARK BROKE MY HEART

Describe tms in one word.
Welcoming

During your time at tms, what work are you most proud of?
Any project I’m involved in I’m always proud to see the final product in full swing and living in the world. It’s cool to also be an end user in the drive through or receiving a late night McDelivery. I geek out on that quite a bit.

What would the title of your autobiography be?
“Whatcha wanna know?”

Which person (dead or alive) would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with and why?
Someone who is no longer with us would be Robert Frank, an incredible photographer. I think that is a conversation I would take a lot from.

Alive I’d say Mike Judge so we could talk about King of The Hill for hours. That sounds like it would be pretty entertaining.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve been given?
Let the work speak for itself.

If the work is quality, you’ll never have to worry.

What’s your current side hustle?
I wouldn’t call it much of a side hustle, but I make art. It’s my favorite thing to do.
